New Publication: Das Lehrgespräch – Interaktion in Hörsaal und Seminar gestalten
The instructional dialogue is a highly flexible teaching method that can be used in many different ways in higher education. It gives instructors insights into how students think,. Creative ideas are just as valuable as misconceptions, which can serve as starting points for deeper discussion and clarification. However, the success of this method depends on how it is implemented. It cannot be planned in isolation from the institutional context in which it takes place.
The article “Das Lehrgespräch – Interaktion in Hörsaal und Seminar gestalten” (The Instructional Dialogue – Shaping Interaction in Lectures and Seminars) by Dr. Michael Cursio, Executive Director at FAU Education and Dr. Angela Hahn from the Chair of Economics and Business Pedagogics at FAU, presents a range of ways in which this method can be effectively applied, not only in traditional seminars, but also in lectures and large-scale formats such as project work and case studies.
The article was published in the edited volume “Praxishandbuch Hochschullehre I. Grundlagen, Methoden und Lehrformate” (utb), edited by Dr. Nerea Vöing.
