TaLAI: Teaching and Learning with Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

Project Description

Teaching and Learning with Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

TaLAI is an Erasmus+ project that supports higher education institutions and teaching staff in engaging with generative AI in a responsible, reflective and pedagogically meaningful way.

Teaching and Learning with Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

The project addresses key questions around AI-supported teaching, learning, assessment, academic integrity, data protection and institutional guidance.

Through research, policy recommendations and practical learning resources, TaLAI helps educators and institutions move beyond uncertainty towards informed and ethical AI use. A key project outcome is a free online course for higher education teaching staff, designed to support critical reflection and practical integration of GenAI into teaching practice.

Course description

The TaLAI online course helps higher education teaching staff make sense of these changes and explore how AI can be used in ways that are pedagogically sound, ethically responsible and aligned with learning outcomes.

The course offers practical guidance, reflective questions and examples around AI-supported course design, assessment, academic integrity, data protection and institutional policy. Structured around the ADDIE model and constructive alignment, it supports educators who are just beginning to engage with GenAI, as well as those who already use AI and want to reflect more critically on their practice.
