What should I, as a lecturer, consider when selecting&nbsp; and using AI tools? <\/strong>&nbsp;<br><strong>How can I define and regulate the use of AI in seminar or final theses?<\/strong>&nbsp;<br><strong>And may I use AI to develop curricula, create presentation slides, or generate exam tasks for my teaching at FAU?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>\u201cGuidelines for AI in Teaching at FAU\u201d<\/strong> provide orientation for these and other questions, expanding upon the existing <strong>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fau.eu\/education\/teaching-at-fau\/guidelines-for-innovative-teaching\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Guidelines for Innovative Teaching<\/a>\u201d<\/strong>. They offer both <strong>guidance and inspiration for the responsible use of AI in teaching<\/strong>. These guidelines are supplemented by <strong>practical recommendations<\/strong> for implementing AI in teaching and assessment formats, along with <strong>helpful examples and checklists<\/strong> to encourage thoughtful integration of AI into educational contexts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lehre.fau.de\/themen\/ki-in-der-lehre\/ki-leitlinien\/\">Guidelines for AI in Teaching at FAU<\/a> are not legally binding regulations<\/strong>. Rules regarding teaching and assessment are outlined in the individual study and examination regulations and may need to be adapted accordingly. Additionally, a <strong>comprehensive university-wide guideline on the use of AI at FAU<\/strong> is currently being developed to complement the teaching-specific guidelines.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given the <strong>rapid developments in the field of AI<\/strong>, these guidelines will be subject to <strong>ongoing, integrative updates<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Info<\/strong>: The <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lehre.fau.de\/themen\/ki-in-der-lehre\/ki-leitlinien\/\">\u201cGuidelines for Innovative Teaching at FAU\u201d<\/a><\/em> were adopted by the university management in <strong>2022<\/strong> following a university-wide dialogue and consultation process.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-rrze-elements-notice \"><div class=\"notice notice-hinweis\"><div class=\"icon-box\"><svg class=\"icon icon-symbols-notifications\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><use href=\"#symbols-notifications\"><\/use><\/svg><\/div><div>\n\n<p>The \u201cGuidelines for Innovative Teaching at FAU\u201d were approved by the University Executive Board in 2022 following an FAU-wide dialog and process.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How does FAU position itself on the use of AI in teaching?What is FAU\u2019s stance on the use of AI in higher education and student learning?
