Dear FAU teaching community,
At the end of the year, we look back – and ahead. For us at the FAU Competence Center Education, this year has been especially formative: with our founding, all things related to teaching at FAU have been brought together in one place – a place where good teaching, shared ideas, and mutual support can grow.
At the same time, we know how challenging this year has been for many of you – with a high workload, new requirements, the dynamic developments around AI, and the ongoing task of supporting students in the best possible way.
This is why we would like to warmly thank you for the wonderful collaboration: for your commitment, your creativity, your patience, and your openness to new ideas. As the FAU Competence Center Education, we see ourselves as co-designers of teaching at FAU and as partners at your side. We want to be a place you can turn to with ideas, questions, uncertainties, or visions for your teaching. In the coming year, we look forward to continuing to explore new formats with you, to rethink teaching together, and to help create conditions that make good teaching both visible and feasible.
As the year comes to a close, we wish you time to pause and recharge. For the new year 2026, we wish you good health, confidence, inspiring encounters, and continued joy in teaching and learning.
