The Erasmus+ project FLUENT (FLexible Universal Educational model for a New hybrid Teaching) is coming to an end! At the final meeting in Tallinn on July 15 and 16, 2025, we had the opportunity to present and discuss the results and achievements of the project in detail. The fruitful discussions and exchange of best practices showed how important international cooperation is for improving the quality of teaching and promoting innovative approaches.

As part of this Erasmus+ project, which we have been carrying out over the last three years in collaboration with three European partner universities (WU Vienna, Tallinn University, and Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Barcelona), we have developed an innovative didactic model for planning courses. Based on this model, Uta Gärtner and Kerstin Emmert created a modular online training course for university and college teachers, which can be taken free of charge in English and Spanish.

The course comprises seven modules that deal with topics such as the design of learning opportunities and the integration of interactive teaching methods. In this way, we address the diverse challenges faced by teachers in today’s educational landscape, where flexibility is an important factor.

Teachers who complete the Graduation Track can obtain the Bavarian Universities Certificate in Higher Education Teaching (basic level). Work units from individual modules of the FLUENT course are recognized for the University Teaching Certificate depending on their topic and scope.

We would like to thank our partner universities for their excellent cooperation during this project. Their expertise and exchange of experiences have contributed significantly to its success. We would also like to thank the European Union for its support of the Erasmus+ program, which creates the basis for such international cooperation.

We look forward to continuing to observe the positive effects of this project and integrating the results into our ongoing continuing education programs. Together, we will continue to advance university teaching and improve teaching at our university and throughout Europe.
