The 2026 summer semester, which officially began on April 1, is now in full swing. Once again this semester, numerous orientation events were held for new FAU students. The FAU Center of Excellence for Teaching participated with two presentations in German and English on the StudOn teaching and learning platform, which is used for course registration and organization, the provision of learning materials, and the administration of various in-person and remote exam formats.
The first presentation, “Starting Your Studies with campo and StudOn,” was organized by the Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB) and took place on April 9, 2026, via Zoom together with colleagues from the ZSB and campo. Participants received a comprehensive overview of the most important functions and potential applications of two central FAU platforms, campo and StudOn. About 70 people attended this presentation.
Anna Vogel from the StudOn department of the Competence Center informed first-year students about logging into StudOn, course registration, and useful tips and tricks for using the platform. Following the presentation, there was ample time for questions.
On April 10, 2026, as part of the Welcome Week for international students organized by the Office of International Affairs, the presentation “Studying Online with StudOn” was held in English via Zoom. Here, too, there was a brief introduction to the StudOn teaching and learning platform for all interested parties. Following this presentation, which was attended by around 45 people, participants also had the opportunity to ask questions, which they were happy to do.
The entire team at the FAU Center of Excellence in Teaching wishes all first-year students a successful start to their studies and a wonderful time at FAU.
